Digital Lions is the first digital service provider worldwide to become member of the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO), a trusted and well-established organisation guaranteeing Fair Trade standards in international trade. We therefore thus adhere to the 10 fair trade principles, among them fair payment, transparency, women empowerment and good working conditions.

When it comes to fair payment, we distinguish two kinds of fairness: relative and absolute fairness. Relative fairness for us means that our creative lions working on client projects get the majority share of the value we produce (currently 70%), without much intermediary trade or overhead on our side. Absolute fairness means we pay prices above the local living wage, which in our case results in 5-10 times higher income than the local average income, based on 25-50% utilisation.

Digital Lions is a social business, where any profit made will be reinvested into the education of further digital creatives through our non profit sister organisation, learning Lions.
